Google Alerts are brilliant.

Do you already use them? If so, then you’ll know what I mean.

If not, they’re a great way to keep up to date with fresh news and discover new content within your particular areas of interest.

Google will inform you when new subject matter is found, either in the blogosphere or the wider web by mailing you a list of links plus a short extract of the content.

Alerts are really easy to set up.

Enter a search term, select how you want Google to source the alerts and how often you’d like to receive them.

That’s it. A fantastic way to find new content you may otherwise miss.

Below is an example of an alert I received for the search term microsoft dynamics nav.

You can see it contains a link to a recent post on this blog.

Visit www.google.com/alerts to start creating alerts.

You’ll wonder how you ever managed without them.
